Homework 4/20/11
I will give extra credit points to anyone that approaches a junior and convinces them to read a book that you suggest to them. Part of their homework is to find a book to read after testing. They will be reading it everyday next week. If you suggest one and they bring it in tomorrow, I will give you extra credit points. If the junior you approach already has a book, then find one that does not have a book in mind.

2. Handwrite Sonnet 130's first quatrain and split it into syllable and then determine which are unstressed and stressed

2. Pick a sonnet and write 3 paragraphs w/ each paragraph explaining one aspect of the sonnet:
Theme, imagery, symbols, relationship amongst the parts, rhyme scheme, etc. (If you want to choose another aspect that is not listed, feel free.)
Period 5
One one piece of paper write a brief summary of each sonnet. (169,292,29,116,130)
Be ready for comprehension quiz on all of them.

Sonnet Check and Response
Now that we have read sonnets from Petrarch and Shakespeare, what is your opinion of the sonnets? Do you love them, hate them, or are you in the middle? Explain why you feel this way.
Then, explain which sonnet you like you best and why you like it so much. Be very detailed.
You last paragraph should discuss whether you would recommend the sonnets to your friends, family, acquaintances. Whether it's a yes or no, explain what you would tell people about them.
4. Make quizlet note cards on the following terms:
