1. Read the 1st 20 pages of your assigned book. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE THE INTRODUCTION, PREFACE, NOTE, OR WHATEVER IS NOT ACTUALLY THE STORY.
2. Look up all the words you don't know and write them in your "words I don't know" journal
3. On a word document, write 3 paragraphs on the following topics:
a.) Summary of the first 20 pages (who, what, where, when, why). START THIS PARAGRAPH, by telling me how much 20 pages covered. Is it half, 3/4 of a chapter or is it 3 chapters? Then, proceed to summarize the first 20 pages.
b.) Your reaction to reading it. How did you feel about the text?
c.) Tell me how interesting you think the book might be for most 15-18 year olds. Explain why.
Your document should be double-spaced and include a heading. PRINT IT AND BRING IT TO CLASS.

1. Create a bullet point booklet.
-Review the "Reading the Canon" packet (the easy one that has an apple and worm on it)
-Using the colored piece of paper I handed out, fold it like a booklet and on the front: a.) create a title on the front b.) create a picture to go with the information of the packet
- Inside, summarize the main points that the packet makes DO NOT COPY ANY OF THE TEXT IN THE PACKET EXACTLY. IT MUST ALL BE PARAPHRASED (reworded)
* Think of this as a quick reference to the information in the packet.
