After your summary, tell me why you have read as much as you have. If you did not read that many, tell me why you think it is that you have not read any.

I WILL GIVE EXTRA CREDIT TO ANYONE THAT STUDIES ON QUIZLET. THIS MEANS THAT IF YOU ARE ALREADY MY FRIEND ON QUIZLET, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS MAKE THE 5 SETS OF NOTE CARDS AND STUDY THEM ON QUIZLET.

IF YOU ARE NOT, my friend on quizlet, ask someone how to do it and I will accept you. Then, I will be able to verify that you have studied on quizlet.

1. Study Yellow Note Cards
2. In the very near future you will be writing a persuasive essay that talks about the educational system and our society. In order to do this, you will have to know certain words and definitions. Especially ones that we have covered in our class readings and lectures.
  • On the sheet I handed out today, review your notes and find words that you think will come in handy in this essay writing process. You only need to do 5 words, but if you feel that you can find all 10, feel free to do so.
Period 5

You must fill out the information for one of the texts we have read in class. That means it could be on:

c.) Cultural Capital packet
d.) The JCCS mission statement
or if you feel capable, even one of the quotes covered in class.
In the last 3 sections of the worksheet, write the quote in the top portion of the box and your explanation in the bottom portion of the box.
